#1 · Apr 6, 2019 Hello, I am doing a sportster build with my son. We are doing a 1997 883 build from scratch. It's time to mount the oil tank but I am having problems figuring out where the hoses go? I purchased a clymer manual but they are very vague on the issue. Does anyone know of a good resource with great photos to help? Thx

First two numbers are the model code 3A = XL - XLH-1000. 4A = XLCH-1000. 1970 was the first year they stamped the frame with numbers too. If the motor has not been swapped the numbers should match.
